Prabhakar who played the role of Kalakeya in SS Rajamouli’ directorial venture Baahubali: The Beginning, interacted with the media and spoke about Rajamouli. A shy person, Prabhakar, from Kodangal village in Mahabubnagar district, says that he was never interested in movies. According to him, he was mad about cricket and since childhood, and he would play a lot of cricket. When he came to Hyderabad, he heard that SS Rajamouli was looking for people for Magadheera. One of his friends took him where the selection was going on. Rajamouli saw him but did not say anything. But one day, one of Rajamouli’s assistants called Prabhakar and took him to Rajamouli’s house, where he was told that he was being given a role in Maryada Ramanna.
Kalakeya said, “When I told Rajamouli that I did not know acting, he sent me to Devdas Kanakala to learn acting. Rajamouli gaur gave me a new life and today, I am here because of him. And it was again Rajamouli sir who gave me the opportunity to prove myself as an actor with the role of Kalakeya in Baahubali: The Beginning.”
Kalakeya also added that Rajamouli drastically changed his life and just to show gratitude to the director, he named his son after him – Sriram Rajamouli.
