Earlier on several occasions, Nandamuri Balakrishna has stated that he would love to do a sequel to his 1991 science-fiction drama, Aditya 369. The sources close to Balakrishna revealed that Gauthamiputra Satakarni star Balakrishna is no more interested in the sequel and he is said to have referred Nandamuri Kalyan Ram for the role. If Kalyan Ram gives his nod for the sequel of Aditya 369, it will be directed by Singeetham Srinivas, who directed the original version.

It has also come out that Kalyan Ram may bankroll the project under the banner of NTR Arts. It is being speculated that the movie will be loaded with special effects. Apparently the producers are planning to make a formal announcement regarding the sequel of Aditya 369 that will feature Kalyan Ram.

Aditya 369 is written and directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad. The movie starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Mohini in the lead roles and music is composed by music maestro Ilaiyaraaja. Aditya 369 was screened at the International Film Festival of India in the mainstream section. Balakrishna starrer was later dubbed into Tamil as Apoorva Sakthi 369 and into Hindi as Mission 369.

Kalyan Ram is currently busy shooting for Entha Manchivaadavura which is directed by Satish Vegesna. Mehreen Pirzada is playing the female lead in it. Recently the makers of Entha Manchivaadavura announced that the film will be hitting theaters on 15th January, as a Pongal special treat. Kalyan Ram starrer will be locking horns with other biggies such as Mahesh Babu starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru, Stylish Star Allu Arjun starrer Ala Vaikunthapuramulo, and Superstar Rajinikanth, Nayantara starrer Darbar at the box office.

Currently, Balakrishna is working with KS Ravikumar for a movie Ruler, which has two actresses- Sonal Chauhan and Vedhika in the female lead role. The movie will hit the theaters on 20th December.
