As part of the centenary celebrations of the world famous actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, a special honoring program was held for film and political leaders recently. In this sequence, senior actress L Vijayalakshmi who acted in about 80 films with NTR was honored. Nandamuri Balakrishna attended the program. L Vijayalakshmi received the centenary award. Balakrishna said that he would like to thank all those who attended the ceremony. On this special occasion, Balakrishna touched the feet of L Vijayalakshmi.
Nandamuri Balakrishna also expressed his heartfelt thanks to Vijayalakshmi who came from America out of respect for her father.
Talking about Vijayalakshmi, Born and brought up in Ernakulam, she learned traditional dance. From 1959 to 1969, she acted in more than 100 films and made more than 80 films with NTR. Along with acting, she has a passion for dance.
Balayya Babu said that Vijayalakshmi stood as a symbol of women empowerment and set an example for future generations.
Balakrishna added, “My congratulations to everyone who is organizing the centenary celebrations of NTR. I hope to carry forward the centenary celebrations like this.”
On the work front, Balakrishna who was last seen in blockbuster drama Akhanda, is currently working for Veera Simha Reddy.
