Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer action drama Maharathi, directed by P Vasu and produced by Vakada Appa Rao on Sri Lalitha Kalanjali Productions banner, it was released in 2007 but turned out commercially flop at the box office. Apart from Nandamuri Balakrishna, the film also had  Sneha, Meera Jasmine in the lead roles  and Jayaprada in the crucial role.  Recently the producer Vakada Appa Rao revealed that he is still paying off the debuts to the financiers for  Balakrishna starrer Maharthi.

Vakada Appa Rao is still struggling to pay off the debts that he incurred with the movie Maharathi.  Balakrishna and Sneha starrer left huge losses to him and still he is playing the debt.

Recently Vakada Appa Rao interacted with a Youtube channel and spoke about Balakrishna and his movie Maharthi. The producer Vakada Appa Rao said, “When we started the movie Maharathi, few financiers came on the board but later they backed off. I was shocked  and was busy in procuring the funds. I did not focus on the script.

Later one of my friends helped with a bank loan of  Rs 4 Cr. But unfortunately the movie turned out flop and incurred huge losses.” Vakada Appa Rao concluded it by saying that he is still paying off the debts to the financiers.
