Back in 2011, Vidya Balan started the wave of female centric films in Bollywood with her movie, The Dirty Picture. The b..d drama not only earned critical acclaim, but also did well at the box office. Now after more than a decade later, the sequel to The Dirty Picture is going to be made in Bollywood. The reports are also coming. Balan, who received a national award for her performance as Silk Smith in the original movie, has not yet reportedly been asked to star in the remake. Now we have to wait and see whether she gives her nod for playing the s..y role in this sequel.
The sources say that the sequel might shed light on the younger days of Silk Smitha. The buzz is that Bollywood popular producer Ekta Kapoor has been planning for this sequel for a long time and she seems to have ok a concept finally. Famous screenplay writer Kanika Dhillon, who is renowned for writing women-led dramas like Manmarziyaan, Judgementall Hai Kya, Haseen Dillruba, and Rashmi Rocket, among others, has been brought on board to complete the script.
