On 5th August, Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam via a video on his Facebook page confirmed that he has tested positive for the coronavirus after showing mild symptoms. The playback singer had said, “Since the last couple of days, I was feeling a bit of discomfort with the symptoms like chest congestion, Phlegm formation, cold and fever. Without taking it easy, I went to the hospital and got myself thoroughly checked. Eventually, I was tested positive for Coronavirus.” Currently he is in the hospital. Now according to the latest update, SP Balasubrahmanyam’ wife Savitri has also been tested positive for the Coronavirus.
Even though the family members are yet to make an official announcement, reports of Savithri also testing positive for Novel Coronavirus have been going viral on social media since yesterday. Apparently, Savithri too has been admitted to hospital and is undergoing treatment in Chennai.
SP Charan, the son of SP Balu issued the statement and said, “The playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam is admitted to Chennai’s MGM Healthcare hospital with mild symptoms. He was taken off ventilator support, and he is able to respond to the treatment.” Balu is currently under observation by the team.
Tollywood celebrities, including National award winning actress Keerthy Suresh, Ramajogaiah Sastry, Koratala Siva, Vijay Antony, Oscar award winning AR Rahman, Harris Jayaraj, Ramya Krishnan among others took to Twitter and wished him good health.
