Bhumika Chawla who once ruled the roost in Tollywood has few years back started her second innings. Bhumika as a heroine has acted opposite almost all the top stars of Telugu Cinema. It is with Mahesh, NTR, Pawan Kalyan she has given huge block busters in the form of Okkadu, Simhadri and Kushi respectively. She has acted opposite Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh as well. Now in her second innings, Bhumika is being offered mostly sister or cousin roles.
The actress is feeling that writers in Tollywood could come with exceptional and bold roles for an actress like her who is her 40s. Bhumika wants to play a role like Tabu in Andhadhun which is bold and extremely crucial for the movie. She is saying that if the script is good and demanding, she is game for challenging and bold characters.
Telugu writers should think in the lines of Bollywood is what Bhumika is feeling. In her second innings, Bhumika has played roles in MCA, U Turn, Savyasaachi. Recently she was seen in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Ruler which ended up as huge disaster.
We have to wait and see whether Bhumika will get any exciting offer after her announcement.
