Tollywood heroes are not getting proper success in Kollywood. Even the films that are successful here turn out to be bitter disasters when they come there. At the same time, Kollywood stars have a good following here. Recently released movies like Custody, Dasara and Virupaksha did not get any real reception there. Most of the heroes who are almost Telugu are left empty handed if they try their luck in Kollywood.
Custody starring Naga Chaitanya directed by Kollywood director Venkat Prabhu was released recently and got average talk. Although it seems that it is not good in Telugu, but in Tamil, this movie is not well received. Naga Chaitanya who wanted to enter Kollywood through this movie, was left empty-handed.

Nani starrer Dasara grossed more than 100 crores in Telugu and became the highest grossing film of his career. This movie got good success in Telugu but did not make much impact in other languages. It did not impress as expected especially in Tamil.
Ram Pothineni, who tried his luck in Kollywood last year with the film Warrior, directed by Lingusamy was a flop in Tamil as well as Telugu. Mahesh Babu’s Spider with star director AR Murugadoss also got disaster talk.
