Bollywood actress Chrisann Pereira, currently lodged in Sharjah Central Jail. The actress was arrested at Sharjah airport on 1st April for carrying a memento that had drugs hidden inside.
Chrisann Pereira was arrested in Sharjah in UAE with drugs earlier this month. Now, Mumbai Police has arrested a man for planting drugs on Chrisann Pereira to frame her. The man, it is said, wanted to take revenge on Chrisann Pereira’s mom. She is in jail in Sharjah in the UAE.
Chrisann Pereira was arrested in Sharjah by the authorities after the drugs were found hidden in a trophy she was carrying. The actress family alleged she had been framed and Mumbai Police started investigations into this matter. The police said that Paul hatched the plan to frame the actress Chrisann Pereira in the case as an act of revenge against actress’s mom.
Police officials said, “Paul, along with Ravi, mastermined a plot to send Chrisann Pereira to UAE for the purported audition for an international web series and while going to the airport, the actress was handed the trophy in which they had hidden the drugs. The police officials also revealed that Paul had framed four other people in a similar manner.
Chrisann Pereira has worked in Bollywood films like Batla House and Sadak-2.
