Renowned filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar passed away today in Mumbai after his potassium levels dipped. According to the reports, the director was taken to a private hospital when his body experienced a drop in potassium level. RRR actor Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpayee and Hansal Mehta have shared tributes to the director Pradeep Sarkar fondly called ‘Dada’ in the film industry. He made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed film Parineetha that also won several awards. He is best known for helming Lafangey Parindey, and Mardaani. His last directorial venture was Helicopter Eela in which Kajol played the lead role.
Pradeep Sarkar was also a writer and producer for several movies. He has also edited Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, which was helmed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra in which Sanjay Dutt played the lead role. The movie also featured late Sunil Dutt in his final film role as the father to his real-life son, Sanjay Dutt. His sudden demise has left the film industry in shock.
