On Thursday, the team of police officials and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad rushed to Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth’ house in Chennai after receiving a bomb threat call. Later, the bomb threat call turned out to be a hoax. According to the latest report, Chennai police is currently conducting a search operation at Rajinikanth’ residence to verify the authenticity of the caller. As soon as the news flashed on the local Television channels, hundreds of fans of Rajinikanth crowded outside his residence.
A prankster’s call landed at 108 ambulance control centre at 10.30am and the man claimed that bombs were planted at Rajinikanth’ residence in Poes Garden and disconnected the call. Over the years, several bomb threats have been made to Rajinikanth and each time it turned out to be a hoax. Due to Coronavirus pandemic, Rajinikanth family members remained inside the house.
On the work front, Rajinikanth will be seen playing the lead role in upcoming much hyped movie Annaatthe. In this film, Rajinikanth will play a caring brother, marks his collaboration with Siva, who is best known for directing Veeram and Viswasam.
The movie Annaatthe also has Keerthy Suresh, Meena and Kushbhu in supporting roles. Rajinikanth starrer movie was officially launched last December in Chennai in a low-key affair.
