Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is one of the much hyped movie of Indian film Industry which also has Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna in the important roles. Going by advance bookings and the general buzz, the big budget drama Brahmastra looks to have a strong opening on Friday. Now we have to wait and see will it be enough to make it a hit.
Brahmastra has seen advance booking of Rs 6.60 cr by Sunday, of which the 3D version alone accounts for Rs 5.5 Cr. The numbers are expected to rise when more 2D shows open and when the dubbed versions advance bookings open on Wednesday. The movie is arriving at the theaters on 9th September.
The reports are coming that PVR theatres have seen more advance bookings for Brahmastra than that of RRR in Hindi. SS Rajamouli’ magnum opus RRR made Rs 2.19 Cr through advance bookings until Thursday whereas Brahmastar made Rs 2.3 Cr until Sunday at PVR screens.
The sources say that if all goes well, Ranbir and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra may easily cross Rs 40 crore worldwide on day one and even inch towards Rs 50 cr.
Nagarjuna’s presence in Brahmastra and Rajamouli presenting means the buzz in the Telugu states is good and the movie is expected to get a decent opening.
