Ayan Mukherji’s ambitious project Brahmastra is the highest grosser in Bollywood, starring the real couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. In terms of box office, Brahmastra broke the records of The Kashmir Files too and is regarded as the highest grossing Bollywood film of the year.
Now, the film is all set for its OTT debut on the leading OTT platform Disney+Hotstar. A few days ago, it was announced that Brahmastra would be available on the platform from October 23. But due to some unknown reasons, it has been delayed to November 4th.
Recently, Hotstar said that the film would be aired from November 4th. So, the film is going to enter OTT after 2 months from its theatrical release and it is expected to run well on the platform with hefty collections as obtained during its theatrical run.
Brahmastra is a mythological fantasy action adventure film that also stars Big B, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and others in significant roles. It is bankrolled by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Namit Malhotra and Mukerji under Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures and Prime Focus in association with Star Studios along with Ranbir Kapoor and Marijke DeSouza.
Drawing inspiration from stories in Hindu mythology, the film shows Shiva, an orphan with pyrokinetic powers who discovers that he is an astra, a weapon of enormous energy. He attempts to prevent the strongest of the astras, the Brahmastra, from falling into the hands of dark forces that share a history with him.
