Punjabi beauty Mahi Gill, who has acted in several Bollywood movies like Dev D, Zanjeer, Paan Singh Tomar, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster, Dabangg 2 etc, opened up about casting couch.
Mahi Gill said that she had faced casting couch during her initial days in the film industry. She said, “It happened with me few times. I don’t even remember the name of the directors. I used to wear salwar suit. One director told me, ‘ If you wear salwar suit, no one will cast you in the movie’. Later I contacted another director and when I met him, he said, ‘I want to see you in nightie.’”
Mahi Gill further said, “ I was new to Mumbai and was not able to understand, who was right and who was wrong. Everyone was seen trying to give me only free advice. ”
When Mahi Gill was asked that how she handled such situation, she said, “Though I was nervous while meeting people, but whenever someone tried to give me stupid logic, I used to run away. I just used to leave that place.”
