CBI has issued notices to BRS MLC Kavitha, the daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister KCR and Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader, in connection with the Delhi liquor case. It said to come to Delhi on 26th of this month for investigation. Earlier, during the ED investigation, MLC Kavitha approached the Supreme Court demanding to interrogate at home. The court adjourned this petition to 28th of this month and CBI has issued a notice to MLC Kavitha on Wednesday, asking her to appear before it on February 26.
This is the first time that CBI has summoned MLC Kavitha after its sleuths questioned MLC at her residence in Hyderabad on 11th December 2022.
On the other hand, the ED has also arrested Kavitha Chartered Accountant Buchibabu, Magunta Raghavareddy son of Ongolu MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Abhishek Boinapalli, Arun Ramachandra Pillai, and Sarathchandra Reddy in this case. However, Magunta Raghavar Reddy and Saratchandra Reddy be were granted bail.
The court granted interim bail to Ramachandra Pillai on the plea of his wife who was not in good health. The rest are in jail.
ED and CBI are simultaneously probing Kavitha in Delhi liquor scam case.
