Initially, the film was released only in 50 theatres on the first day of its release. But according to its good talk, more theatres were expanded later and it has gained around Rs 25 crore only in the Bollywood region.
Worldwide, the film has collected Rs 100 crores and became an epic successful blockbuster. As it is a pan-India movie, the director Chandoo Mondeti has joined the list of pan-India star directors of Tollywood. Bollywood too is singing the praises of the talented director. Chandoo Mondeti was also admired by the worldly-wise director SS Rajamouli, who compared Karthikeya 2 with Baahubali, Pushpa and other successful pan-India movies.
Karthikeya 2 is going strong all over the world with a good word of mouth. It stars Nikhil Siddharth and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles.
