Released in 2005, Chandramukhi is a comedy horror film that grabbed the attention of the audience with it’s intriguing content. It is written and directed by P. Vasu, who allotted Superstar Rajinikant, Jyothika, Prabhu, Vadivelu and others as the character artists for the film. It remained as one of the successful ventures in Indian cinema.
Now, the makers are gearing up to bring out the sequel for the film. Already, an enchanting script has been readied by them and they are arranging luxurious settings for the sequel to take a perfect shape.
Recently it is learnt that the team has sold its digital streaming rights to the international OTT giant Netflix for a fancy price. But the official announcement is still awaited. As the film is a profitable venture those times, Netflix has come forward first to buy its streaming rights without any hesitation.
Chandramukhi 2 is being produced by Lyca Productions banner and the same director P. Vasu, who directed the first part, is taking care of the second instalment too. It stars Raghava Lawrence, Anushka Shetty, Vadivelu and others in important roles. The film has already completed the shooting of its first schedule and the makers are looking to finish the remaining part of the film in a rapid pace.
