Story: A rich family headed by Radhika Sarathkumar moves into the Vettaiyapuram palace to renovate their ancestral temple and perform a puja. The palace is possessed by the ghosts of Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan Raja. What happened after that? How did Chandramukhi get revenge? Did Chandramukhi finally leave Radhika’s daughter Divya (Lakshmi Menon)? How did Madhan (Raghava Lawrence) finally save Radhika’s family? Performance: When it comes to the performance of the actors, Raghava Lawrence’s performance is the highlight in this movie as always. He is over-the-top in the first half. Kangana Ranaut’s performance is also very good. Especially Kangana impressed with her performance in some horror scenes. The action sequence that comes over the end between Kangana Ranaut and Lawrence is superbly composed. Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar and Rao Ramesh who played key roles in this movie impressed with their performance. Also, Radhika, who played the role of the mother, also acted amazingly in her own style as always. And the rest of the actors also did justice to their roles.
Technical: If we talk about the technical department, the first thing to say is director P Vasu. As a director, P Vasu has impressed the audience with some scenes in the combination of horror and comedy. But he has attempted to revoke memories of Chandramukhi in multiple instances. And the cinematography is well set for this horror comedy movie. The graphics done in the movie are also good. Background music by MM Keeravani is good. In terms of editing the first half was a bit slow, the way the second half was cut was good. Producer Subhaskaran’s production values are good. The dialogues are underwritten.
Analysis: Raghava Lawrence – Kangana Ranaut try to raise the level of the film with their performance. But Chandramukhi 2 doesn’t have the thrilling moments one expects from a horror drama.
