Legendary playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam passed away  today on 25th  September. SPB was 74. The singer SP Balasubrahmanyam had been at MGM Healthcare in Chennai since 5th August after he tested +ive for coronavirus.

The playback singer died of a cardio-respiratory arrest at 1:04pm. SPB had tested negative for Covid-19 on 5th September. From  versatile actor Kamal Haasan to  Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth, celebrities  across India had sent well wishes for the Tamil singer.  But SPD’ demise gave a huge shock to the film industry. Megastar  Chiranjeevi took to his microblogging page and  posted an emotional message with the heading that the death of SP Balasubrahmanyam is a dark day for Indian cinema.

Khaidi no 150 actor  Chiranjeevi said, “A talent like SP Balasubrahmanyam will never be born and the Telugu cinema will never see it.”

SP Balasubrahmanyam’health had deteriorated during the 2nd week in the hospital. His son SP Charan was regularly  updating on his father SPB health status. On 22nd September, SP Charan’s last update, said he was making steady progress even though his dad was on ventilator, and was eager to leave the hospital.

Unfortunately, singer’s health deteriorated in the last 24 hours and he took his last breath today.
