Megastar Chiranjeevi got relief in AP High Court. In 2014, Chiranjeevi participated in the election campaign as a Congress leader. However, a person filed a case against Chiranjeevi in Guntur, alleging that he did not complete the meeting within the stipulated time, causing traffic problems and violating the election code. But Chiranjeevi approached the High Court to dismiss the case registered against him. The High Court examined this petition and gave directions dismissing the case registered against Chiranjeevi.

Chiranjeevi founded Praja Rajyam Party in the year  2008. He contested the elections in 2009 and won as MLA from Tirupati. Later, due to political developments, he met with Congress President Sonia Gandhi and in 2011, Praja Rajyam Party was merged into Congress. Later, Chiranjeevi, who became a Rajya Sabha MP, served as a Union Minister in the Congress government. But Chiranjeevi, who announced his retirement from politics, has completely devoted himself to films.

Chiranjeevi, who was active in politics until the 2014 general elections, participated in the election campaign on behalf of the Congress party. In 2014, the Guntur police registered a case against Chiranjeevi, alleging that he did not complete the meeting on time, causing a traffic jam and violating election rules. Megastar Chiranjeevi approached the AP High Court to dismiss the case.
