
The song Naatu Naatu from the hit Telugu-language film RRR, helmed by SS Rajamouli has created history by becoming the first Indian film song to win an Oscar. India won a second Oscar for The Elephant Whisperers that won in the Best Documentary Short film category. Naatu Naatu already made history in the month of January when it won a Golden Globe for the best original song – a first for India. The same month, it also won the Critics’ Choice award for the best song. While accepting the Oscar, the music composer MM Keeravani said the song Naatu Naatu was “the pride of every Indian”. Megastar Chiranjeevi also expressed his happiness as Naatu Naatu won the Oscars. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy fame star said that this is a time that all Indians should be very proud of.
Rajamouli, MM Keeravani, Chandra Bose, Tarak, Charan, Rahul Sipliganj, who sang the song, Kala Bhairava and all the members of the film unit are heartily congratulated.
