20th September marks 98th birth anniversary of Telugu legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao. On this special occasion, ANR’s son Akkineni Nagarjuna shared a special video on Twitter and he remembers his father. On the other side, megastar Chiranjeevi also remembered Legendary Actor, Padma Vibhushan Dada Saheb Phalke awardee Dr Akkineni Nageswar Rao garu on his birth anniversary.”
ANR was born in the year 1923 and entered in the film industry in 1941. On this special occasion, Megastar Chiranjeevi remembered ANR a adorable social media post. Chiranjeevi took to his Twitter to share a photograph of him with Nagarjuna’ father and said, “Despite age gap he always treated me like a friend. His numerous movies from Devadas to his last film Manam are immortal. Respects to the Legend ANRLivesOn.”
ANR is known for acting in the movies like Prem Nagar, Premabhishekam, Majnu, Devadasu, Maya Bazar, Mooga Manasulu and more. Apart from acting in the movies, ANR has also appeared in actress-TV personality Lakshmi Manchu’s chat show Lakshmi Talk Show and Jayaprada’s Television show Jayapradam as well.
ANR passed away due to cancer on 22nd January, 2014, at the age of 90.
On the work front, Chiranjeevi has a number of projects such as Acharya, Bhola Shankar and others in the pipeline.
