Today, the Central government seems to be all set to move the most debated and controversial bill in the assembly, i.e. Triple Talaq, reportedly. From the close sources, it was known that the sovereign party has issued the three-line whip to its MP’s from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha as to be present in the house today to support the said bill.
On July 25th, Lok Sabha has passed the contentious Bill to criminalize Triple Talaq. The bill was passed amidst huge noise from the opposition and few even protested and walked out. In the count, this contentious bill was passed with the support of 302 votes and 82 against it. As per the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2019, it says the criminalize the act of instant divorce among the Muslim women which can lead to three years of a jail sentence for the men.
On the other hand, BJP is leaving no stone unturned in making its party to expand its horizons in both the Telugu states of Andhra and Telangana. Whereas, in Karnataka, BJP’s Yediyurappa has won the trust vote and came to power.
