· Vikram performance
· Interval bang
· Lengthy runtime
· Confusing storyline
· Boring romantic track
Performance: Vikram gave many memorable performances in his career in the film industry. And Cobra is no different. He has given a wonderful performance in this film. He gets a role with dual shades and justifies with his roles. The former cricketer Irfan Pathan makes his debut with Cobra, who starts off as the lead investigating officer of the case, but slowly gets sidelined to become useless. KGf girl Srinidhi Shetty gets a good role. Mrunalini Ravi gets a neat role in the flashback and she is good. Roshan Mathews is impressive in negative role. Rest of the cast of Cobra perform accordingly.
Technical: The storyline of Cobra is confusing and it creates so many doubts in the minds of the viewers. One of the biggest drawbacks is its lengthy runtime. The screenplay lacks punch. There are many illogical scenes in the movie that drag the proceedings. The production values are top notch. The cinematography and the action choreography are top-class AR Rahman is one of the biggest assets as his songs and BGM elevate the proceedings and the cinematography work are superb.
Analysis: Overall Cobra is overwrought, over-indulgent, overlong and overloud.
