Colombian President Gustavo Petro announced that four children lost in the Amazon jungle have been found. As he revealed that all the children are safe, there is happiness all over the country. The President thanked those who volunteered to go into the woods to search for the children along with the soldiers, saying that Operation Hope, which involved hundreds of soldiers, has come to an end. He tweeted with a photo of the child.

It is mentioned that the whole country is expressing happiness as all the children were found safe after 40 days. Their grandfather also confirmed that the children were found. Fidencio Valencia says he urgently needs a plane, not a helicopter, to bring them home immediately.

On the 1st of May, the small plane in which these four children were traveling crashed in the Amazon jungle. The pilot, the child’s mother and another relative were killed. Only four children survived. Children aged 13, 9 and 4 and an 11-month-old baby were also present. It took two weeks for rescue teams to locate the crash site.

Officials said it was difficult to locate the plane as it crashed in dense forest. They said that when they reached there, they found only dead bodies and no children. With this, ‘Operation Hope’ was started to search for those children. Everyone in Colombia prayed for the children’s well-being. After 40 days on Friday, the president of Colombia announced that the four children had been found and were all safe.
