Young Rebel star Prabhas has number of projects in pipeline and one of them is Kalki 2898K, which is progressing at the brisk pace under the direction of Nag Ashwin. This sci-fi action thriller is set in a dystopian world. It is known that legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan have been brought on the board to play the important roles. If ongoing buzz in the media and the film industry are to be believed, master storyteller SS Rajamouli and sensational director Ram Gopal Varma aka RGv will play the cameo in Prabhas and Nag Ashwin’ film Kalki 2898 AD.

B town actress Deepika Padukone is playing the female lead, whereas Loafer lady Disha Patani is playing a crucial role in this film, which is bankrolled under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner and has the music by Santosh Narayanan.
During an interview, Nag Ashwin explained the meaning of ‘Kalki’. He said, “Kalki is one of the words given to the second coming to the avatar of Vishnu in one of our lores. Kalki is the person equivalent to what other religions have in 2nd coming.”
On the otherside, SS Rajamouli’ next project is with Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu, and the story of this film is penned by Vijayendra Prasad, the writer of Manikarnika, Baahubali series and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
