Over the past two years, Tollywood has been struck by the loss of several senior actors, including Superstar Krishna, actor and politician Krishnam Raju, director Vishwanath, veteran actress Jamuna, Kaikala Satyanarayana, and others. Unfortunately, the string of deaths in Telugu Film Industry continues as senior actor Costume Krishna passed away today on 2nd April after battling an illness for the last few days.
Costumes Krishna has acted as a villain and character artist in many successful films in Telugu. As a producer, he produced Pelli Pandhri, Arundhati and some other films. His real name is Krishna Madasu. He was born in Lakkavarapu Fort in Vijayanagaram District. Krishna, who started his career as a costume designer, became an actor with the encouragement of late director Kodi Ramakrishna through Bharat Bandh.
He had been undergoing treatment for his illness in hospitals and had recently returned home after recovering. However, Costumes Krishna’ condition deteriorated, and he passed away at home. He was also a producer and bankrolled eight films, including Pelli Panadhri in Telugu.
Along with megastar Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh Daggubati and Balakrishna, he worked as a film maker and costume designer for all the star heroes.
We at www.tollywood.net convey our deep condolences to Innocent Costumes Krishna family during their time of grief. May his soul rest in peace.
Costumes Krishna garu is no more. He was one of the most popular costume designer for many South Indian actors and actresses in 80’s and 90’s. He has also acted in few films as Kodi Rama Krishna saw acting potential in him. He produced few hit films as well.
