Vinay Kumar has played 31 ODIs, 9 T20Is and one Test match for Team India. He took 38 wickets in ODIs and ten wickets in T20Is. He represented teams like Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
Vinay Kumar, who was absent from the national team in 2013, did not appear in the team again. He announced his retirement from cricket in 2021. Although he did not perform well in the national team, Vinay Kumar created a record by taking 400 wickets in the Ranjis.
