Another cyclonic circulation has formed in the Bay of Bengal. The Indian Meteorological Center has said that this cyclonic  circulation formed over Andaman Nicobar island complex- southern Thailand will turn into low pressure by next 29th. Gradually, favorable conditions are in place for it to become a typhoon. The IMD has predicted that it will emerge as a typhoon by December 1.

 It will gradually move west-northwest of Andaman Nicobar Island and approach the AP coast on December 4 or 5. The effect of this is that from the 1st of this month, widespread rains are likely to occur in many districts of Telangana including AP. This storm has been named as Cyclone Michaung. This will be the fourth typhoon to form in the Bay of Bengal this year. Six cyclones have formed in the Indian Ocean so far

Heavy rains are already falling in Andaman Nicobar due to the impact of this cyclone. The Indian Meteorological Center has also issued an orange alert in view of the intensity of rain. It said that it will rain for another 48 hours. Fishermen were warned not to go fishing. So far, two Telugu states have already received scattered rains due to the effect of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. Palnadu, Prakasam, Kurnool, Nandyala, Nellore, Kadapa, Annamayya Rayachoti, Chittoor and Tirupati districts of AP recorded light to moderate rainfall. Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Asifabad, Jagityala, Kamareddy, Sangareddy and Medak districts of northern Telangana including Hyderabad received heavy rains.
