Super Star Rajinikanth is going through a dull phase when it comes to boxing office performance. After Robo, there is no film of Rajini that set the box office on fire. Though his last film Petta has got good talk, lack of enough theaters in Telugu states has hindered the flow of collections. With this, Rajini’s latest film Darbar has been carrying low expectations. Even Telugu media have not considered the film as a competition to Sankranthi biggies Ala Vaikunthapuramulo and Sarileru Neekevvaru. But with the trailer release, everything has changed.
Darbar trailer has all the fun moments which will be liked by the audience. Plus the story is set up in Cop background, which is evergreen for films. Rajini mania is seen all over. The theatrical trailer has set the right expectations for the movie and now trade analysts are considering that Darbar is going to give tough competition for Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun.
This time, theaters won’t be a problem as Dil Raju is distributing the film in the Nizam region which is considered to be the heart for the Telugu cinema business. AR Murugadoss has directed the film. Nayantara is playing the female lead. Sunil Shetty has played the baddie in this movie.
Darbar will have a release on either 9th or 10th, which will be confirmed in a couple of days. While Sarileru Neekevvaru is arriving on January 11th, Ala Vaikunthapuramulo will hit the box office on January 12th.
