Comedian Raju Srivastav passed away on Wednesday after almost a month of illness. Raju Srivastav  was 58 and  he was admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi’s critical care unit on 10th August after collapsing in a gym during a workout session.  The comedian was initially treated for chest pain. The news of Raju Srivastav death comes a month and a half after he had a heart attack.

Comedian Raju Srivastav suffered a heart attack on 9th August. His team had confirmed that he suffered a heart attack while working out.  His team had revealed, “Raju Srivastav was working out on the treadmill around 11-11:30 when he had the stroke. He is stable now. There is nothing to worry as of now. Doctors are conducting tests, we will share more information soon.” Later it was reported that  Raju suffered immense brain damage too after cardiac arrest.

 He had shot to fame in 2005 after participating in the first season of the stand-up comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He had also participated  in Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala, Comedy Circus, and Comedy Nights with Kapil.

He has also featured in films like Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya , Maine Pyar Kiya, and Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon among others.
