In July, Darul Uloom Deoband, had issued a fatwa against waxing and shaving saying that these are against Islamic culture.

Maulana L Sadiq Qasmi, head of Darul Iftaa said, “The hair adds to beauty of Muslim women and they should never cut the hair.” He added that the trend of Muslim ladies to go beauty parlour has increased in the country, which is not a good sign. It should be stopped. The  Muslim women should stay away from beauty parlours as Islam does not permit the muslim ladies to have make-up to attract other male members.

Recently  Darul Uloom Deoband had also issued one more Fatwa prohibiting Muslim men and women from posting photographs of themselves and their families on social media sites -Facebook , Twitter and Whattsapp.  Mufti Mukkaram also came out in support of the fatwa. “If a picture is clicked to be used in Aadhaar card, the  passport and other useful documents it is ok, but for useless things such as to upload it on social media sites, it is not right.
