Ghattamaneni Manjula, is an actress and film producer, known for her work in Telugu Cinema. Born to prominent Telugu actor Krishna Ghattamaneni, she started her acting career by doing a cameo role in Rajasthan, which was released in 1999 and went on to act as a lead actress in the Malayalam film Summer in Bethlehem. She became popular after starring and producing in the 2002 film Show. She has film production company called Indira Productions, named after her mother. Recently Ghattamaneni Manjula attended an interview and opened up about her career in the film Industry. Ghattamaneni Manjula also revealed that she received death threat from her Father Krishna’ fans.
In a recent interview, Ghattamaneni Manjula said that she was slated to become a star heroine in 90s but after receiving the death threats, she left the movie.
Ghattamaneni Manjula said the makers of SV Krishna Reddy had planned to cast her in movie Top Hero as the female lead and she was roped opposite Balakrishna. But the die hard fans of her father threatened her that they will immolate themselves if she would act opposite Nandamuri Hero Balakrishna.
Ghattamaneni Manjula added that the fans wore the black masks and also brought petrol cans to the studio. They stood in front of her father superstar Krishna. After seeing this she left the movie.
