Following the success of romantic drama Sita Ramam starring Mrunal Thakur and Dulquer Salmaan, the director Hanu Raghavapudi found himself in demand. The director has already signed a film for a Bollywood production house and he has signed another film, this time for Mythri Movie Makers, who earlier produced the blockbusters like Rangasthalam (2018), Srimanthudu (2015), and Pushpa: The Rise (2021). The upcoming drama of Hanu Raghavapudi’ will have Rebel star Prabhas in the lead role and the movie will be funded by Mythri Movie Makers.
Hanu Raghavapudi said to have narrated a story line to Baahubali and Saaho fame Prabhas and as the actor was very impressed with the narration, gave his green signal. This time Prabhas has a different target as the upcoming film is not a love story.
If everything works out as expected, the film of Prabhas may go on floors later this year,” says a source close to the development.
Hanu Raghavapudi’ recent release Sita Ramam, featuring Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles, had opened to unanimous response from audience and the critics alike. On the otherside, Prabhas is currently working for Salaar under the direction of Prashanth Neel and Project K which is helmed by Nag Ashwin who is best known for helming Mahanati.
