Story: After being diagnosed with cancer, Manny (Sushanth Singh Rajput) is a happy go lucky. On the otherisde, Kizzie Basu (Sanjana Sanghi) is battling with thyroid cancer and is leading a boring life. Manny falls for Kizzie. At first, Kizzie ignores Manny but later she too falls for his lively nature. How does Manny bring back the lost smiles in Kizzie’s life and also fulfills her incomplete dreams, form rest of the story.

Performance: The performance of Sushant Singh Rajput is highlighted and is the main assets of Dil Bechara. Sushant navigates the depth of his character, shines with a stellar performance that is sensitive, lively and vulnerable. His smile is winning the heart. His brilliant moves in the title track, choreographed by Farah Khan, is awesome. Sanjana Sanghi who is making debut with Dil Bechara has given her decent performance. The chemistry between the lead pair Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi is refreshing to watch Swastika Mukherjee and Saswata Chatterjee as Kizie’ parents are superb. Saif Ali Khan in the role of a cameo is noteworthy. Rest of the cast of Dil Bechara performs accordingly.
Technical: The soundtrack composed by A.R. Rahman and lyrics by Amitabh are fantastic. Khulke Jeene Ka, Taare Ginn and the title track, Dil Bechara are superb. The cinematography work is amazing. The production values are very good. The major drawback of the film is its lengthy run time. Coming on the wok of Mukesh Chhabra’ direction, he has done a decent job.
