After Venky Kudumula and Venky Atluri, another new director who’ll be releasing his film very soon is Sunder Surya. His film Ammamma Gari Illu starring Naga Shaurya and Shamili, reminds us of Seetaramaiyya Gari Manavaralu or the more recent Satamanam Bhavati.
Young actor Naga Shaurya who was last seen in decent hit movie Chalo, is currently busy in his next film ‘Ammamma Gari Illu’. Shamili (the famous child artiste and lead actress of Siddharath starrer Oye) is playing the female lead. . Naga Shaurya while addressing at movie’s teaser launch said everybody loves Ammamma. He requested the reviewers not to rate his movie Ammamma Gari Illu after watching it as it is based on Ammamma’s character.
He thanked director Sunder Surya for giving him a beautiful script. The movie is produced by Rajesh and it has the music by Kalyan Ramana.
Recently during the media interaction, the director said, “The fine balance between the concept of joint family and a small family will be the USP of this family drama. A problem that takes place 20 years back gets solved by the hero. It is completely a hero centric flick.”
Yesteryear actor Sumitra is playing the grandmother. It is heard that the choice was originally Rohini Hattangady. This film is also a comeback vehicle for Shamili.
