Drishyam set for international remake

Production house Panorama Studios revealed that they were teaming up with Gulfstream Pictures and JOAT Films for an International remake of the Drishyam franchise.

Panorama Studios has acquired the international remake rights to the Malayalam movies Drishyam 1 and 2 starring Mohanlal from the original producers Aashirvad Cinemas. The Malayalam thriller drama has been remade in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil.

Drishyam series (1 and 2) is also being developed in South Korea as well as the development deal is being finalized for the Spanish language version, the Production house said.

Kumar Mangat Pathak, Chairman and Managing Director, of Panorama Studios, said he is excited to celebrate the story of Drishyam with movie lovers worldwide. Kumar Mangat Pathak said in the statement, “We are very happy to collaborate with Gulfstream Pictures and JOAT Films to create Drishyam stories in English for Hollywood. After Korea and Hollywood, our mission is to produce Drishyam in ten countries in the next 3 to 5 years.”

The other details of the casting will be revealed later.
