The drug racket in Kannada film Industry has already created a sensation. A Now according to the latest update, a person named Srinivas Subramanian alias Sri, was arrested from his Sahakarnagar flat in the Sandalwood drug scandal on Sunday. The police have apparently seized 13 ecstasy tablets, 100 grams of ganja, 1.1 grams of MDMA and 0.5 gram of hashish from Srinivas Subramanian’ residence.
Joint Commissioner of Police, Sandeep Patil says that Srinivas Subramanian used to have many parties at his home which were attended by many actors and regulars from Bengaluru’ party circle.
Sandeep Patil also confirmed the arrest of Srinivas Subramanian and said that one of the actors in custody had visited his flat 3 to 4 times in the last few months. According to CCB sources, the actor in question is none other than Ragini Dwivedi.
The sources close to the police also revealed that the television hosts and actors Akul Balaji and Aryann Santosh also spoke about Srinivas Subramanian’ hosting parties and his role in this sandalwood drug case. Police sources have also stated that Srinivas Subramanian aka Sri apparently said that the drugs seized from his residence were allegedly for his own consumption.
On the other side Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani, who were arrested by Central Crime Branch in the drug menace case, had applied for bail and the hearing of their bail plea is postponed to 21st September.
