Eagle Movie Review and Rating

Ravi Teja, Anupama Parameswaran and Kavya Thapar starrer Eagle, helmed by Karthik Gattamneni, has hit the theaters on 9th February 2024.

Story: A tribal from Talakona forest area in Madanapalli taluk of Andhra Pradesh keeps an idol of Sahadeva Varma (Ravi Teja) in the Tanda and worships him as a god. However, journalist Nalini Rao (Anupama) accidentally saw a special cotton cloth and was writing an article about the village where the cloth was produced. With that, CBI steps in and takes over the entire newspaper. What is Sahadev Verma’s connection with that cotton cloth?, Who is this Sahadev Varma?, Why did CBI get involved if he was written about in the paper?, what happened to Sahadev’s wife Rachna (Kavya Thapar)?, who is the eagle? To get these answers, one should watch the movie on silver screen.

 Performance: Ravi Teja looked very powerful in the role of Eagle. Ravi Teja impressed with the wild action elements. His acting style is impressive, showing variations to suit his character. Moreover he  acted very well with his body language, in some action and emotional sequences and with his stylish looks. His chemistry with Kavya Thapar is good. Anupama Parameswaran, who played a key role, also impressed. Navdeep in another key role also acted well. In terms of acting, Vinay Roy has done much better in this film than his previous films. Srinivas Avarsala, Madhubala, Ajay Ghosh and the rest of the cast also performed well in their roles.

 Technical: Eagle is a solid flick from the technical point of view. The cinematography and action sequences are scintillating. The background score is good. Cinematography is also good. Most of the scenes in the movie have been shot very beautifully. When it comes to editing,  the editor should reduce some of the stretched scenes here and there. Producer TG Vishwaprasad made this film without any compromise. His production values are very good.

 Analysis: Overall, Ravi Teja’s performance and powerful action elements are very impressive in this movie Eagle. Action episodes and emotional scenes written by director Karthik Ghattamaneni are good. The director has made this film especially keeping Ravi Teja’s fans in mind. While the first half is  not up to the mark, he makes it up with a good second half.
