Seasonal advantage was once again highlighted in Tollywood with the super successes of Ala Vaikunthapuramulo and Sarileru Neekevvaru which got released for Sankranthi and turned out to be block busters. Now Tollywood biggies are eyeing for festive releases not to miss the advantage of holidays. After Sankranthi, Summer is going to huge for Tollywood. But this year, there are no biggies targeting the season.
Next big season where biggies are going to concentrate will be for Dussehra. It is highly unlikely that Rajamouli’s RRR in which Ram Charan, NTR are playing the lead roles will hit the screens on July 31st. 2020. Though shooting was supposed to be completed by January end, it got postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
With this, RRR will look to see Dussehra or January 2021 as their tentative release dates.
On the other hand, Prabhas’s upcoming film in the direction of Radha Krishna Kumar was supposed to release for late Summer but producer Krishnam Raju recently said that the film is looking for Summer 2021 release. But close sources reveal that Prabhas 20th movie might hit the screens for Dussehra or at the least January.
With this it is confirmed that either of Prabhas20 or RRR will look to lock Dussehra season as their release date. The other will arrive in January 2021.
