On 19th December, Twitter owner and CEO Elon Musk has launched a Twitter poll asking Twitter users on whether he should step down as head of the social media site.
Putting out a poll on his official Twitter handle, Elon Musk questioned, “Should I step down as the head of Twitter?”. He added that he would abide by poll results.
Elon Musk says he will abide by results of a Twitter poll asking the users whether he should step down as head of the social media company. As of Sunday night, the poll had over four million votes with 57.9 % of respondents saying Elon Musk should step down and 42.1 % saying he should not step down.
A twitter user named Steve Rudden said: People voting yes do realize that Elon is still going to own Twitter, he’s just going to find someone to take on the day to day operations, but have say in everything, sooo your yes vote is meaningless.. Another netizen wrote: You’ve made Twitter one hundred times better in less than two months, don’t stop now.
Since the time Elon Musk took over Twitter, he has come under criticism for several of the changes he has made at company, including firing more than half its staff and allowing back previously barred users.
