Tollywood star actress Samantha was recently seen in a female-centric film Yashoda, directed by the duo Hari-Harish. The film has received a massive response from the audience and is having a decent run at the box office of Telugu states. The makers have also closed all the non-theatrical deals well in advance as they received profits.
When it comes to the plot of the film, the film is made on the concept of surrogacy and it is shown around EVA Hospitals in Hyderabad. Recently, the hospital authorities filed a petition on the makers in a Hyderabad-based civil court, alleging that they had misused the hospital and projected it in an indecent way. After hearing to the case, the Civil court issued notices to the makers ordering them to stop the digital release of the film until further hearing, which is slated for December 19.
To our surprise, it is also the fixed streaming date of the film. A defamation case against the film’s production house Sridevi Movies was filed by the hospital authorities. With this, the makers are facing brickbats from the hospital management. So, it remains to be seen how will the makers react to it and what is going to happen next.
