Today on 5th May, the police arrested Malayalam filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan after the Malayalam actress Manju Warrier filed a complaint against him for defaming her on social media.
In her complaint, filed at the Elamakkara Police station in Kochi, Manju Warrier stated Sanal Kumar Sasidharan has been blackmailing and defaming her through his posts on social media. The police have arrested the director and have shared a live video of him resisting the police custody, on Facebook. Sanal Kumar Sasidharan says, “They are going to grab my mobile phone and I am being kidnapped by the several people. They are attacking me. Some goons claim to be the police and they are trying to attack me. Somebody please help me.”
Recently Sanal Kumar Sasidharan has made several claims on the social media Facebook that Manju Warrier’ life is in danger. According to Sanal, she is facing danger from people close to her.She is under threat as she had testified in the actor assault case, involving Dileep.
According to the police report, Sanal Kumar Sasidharan was taken into custody from his house in Parassala, Thiruvananthapuram at around afternoon. The film maker will be brought to Kochi, where the case has been registered.
In the past Sanal and Manju Warrier have worked together in a movie titled Kayattam.
