Superstar It is known that Bollywood top star Akshay Kumar will play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in an upcoming Marathi film ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’, which is helmed by Mahesh Manjrekar. Finally the shoot of this upcoming much hyped Marathi film ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’ has been started and today morning the makers released the first look poster of Akshay Kumar.
Akshay Kumar took to his social media platforms and wrote, “Today I am starting the shooting of Marathi film ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Sat’ in which I am lucky to be able to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ji. I will do my best by taking the inspiration from her life and the blessing of Mother Jijau!”
Earlier during an interview, Akshay Kumar had said that it is a huge task to play the role of the Maratha warrior king and he will give his best. He got this role because of Raj Thackeray. Akshay added, “Raj Thackeray told me, ‘Akshay Kumar you should do this role’. And I was taken aback. It is a huge deal for me to essay the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.”
Apart from Akshay Kumar, the movie also has Vishal Nikam, Virat Madke, Jay Dudhane, Utkarsha Shinde, Akshay, Nawab Khan, Hardik Joshi, Satya, and Praveen Tarde in the important roles.
The film ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’ will release in Diwali next year, and clashed with Salman Khan starrer much awaited action drama Tiger 3 which has Katrina Kaif as the leading lady.
