Authorities have home quarantined residents in 72 houses in south Delhi after a man who delivered them pizza was tested +ive for the coronavirus disease. Additionally, 17 people who worked with the delivery man have been sent to the Delhi government’s quarantine facility in Chattarpur.
The delivery boy from a famous pizza chain in Malviya Nagar area tested positive for Coronavirus on Tuesday.
South Delhi district magistrate BM Mishra said that the delivery person had a cough, which was suspected to be caused by common flu. As the food delivery agent did not show any signs of recovery, he was sent to the RML Hospital in central Delhi, where the doctors confirmed that he is infected by Covid-19.
The food delivery agent tested +ive for Covid-19. In the last 15 days, the guy delivered pizza at 72 locations. Mishra said that they had placed all the people in home quarantine. There were 17 people who used to work with him and they all had been admitted to the institutional quarantine facility at Chattarpur.
The delivery person is associated with a popular pizza restaurant and he is now undergoing treatment at a hospital, whereas the other people who were in the contact of that delivery boy, are being monitored on a daily basis.
