Former AP Minister and TDP MLC Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu passes away

Senior leader of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and former Andhra Pradesh Minister Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu passed away at a private hospital in Hyderebad while undergoing treatment for high dengue fever.

Naidu, a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, who was residing at Padmavathipuram in Tirupati of Chittoor district had joined in a private hospital here due to fever on Sunday and he breathed his last at a private hospital in Hyderabad late on Tuesday. He is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter.

Born at Venkatramapuram of Ramachandrapuram Mandal in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh on 9th June, 1947, Naidu joined Telugu Desam Party founded by late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) in the year 1983.  He served as Minister in NT Rama Rao’s cabinets in 1984, 1987 and 1994 and held Education and Forest portfolios.

State IT Minister, Nara Lokesh,  the son of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, expressed his condolences. Nara Lokesh tweeted, “Shocked and disheartened to learn about the sudden passing of senior party leader Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu Garu. His inspiring presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known him. May God give strength to his family in this hour of grief.”
