K Uma Maheshwari, the fourth daughter of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister NT Rama Rao ended her life by committing suicide at her residence in Jubilee Hills on Monday. She was the youngest among 12 children of the Telugu Desam Party founder.
The sources say that she was facing some health issues and she was under treatment for the last few months. On Monday, TDP founder daughter Uma was found hanging to the ceiling fan in her bedroom. The Jubilee Hills police have shifted the body of Uma for autopsy while a case was registered. The Police suspect Uma might have ended her life as she slipped into depression over the health issues.
Former Union Minister and Bharitya Janata Party- BJP leader Daggubati Purandeswari and TDP President and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s wife Nara Bhuwaneswari are her well-known sisters.
After hearing the news of the sudden demise of Uma Maheshwari, Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh and other family members rushed to NTR’ daughter residence.
Legendary actor NTR- Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao had 12 children – eight sons and four daughters. Uma Maheswari was the youngest of 4 daughters. Many family members had come together recently at the marriage event of Uma’ daughter.
