Former Union minister and BJP MP Bandaru Dattatreya‘s son Vaishnav died after suffering a massive heart attack during early hours on Wednesday. Vaishnav was only 21 years old.
Vaishnav was an MBBS third year student at Medicity Medical College in Hyderabad. Vaishnav complained of chest pain after having dinner and he was shifted to Guru Nanak hospital in Secunderabad on Tuesday late night. Vaidhnav breathed his last at 1.30am. The mayor of Hyderabad, Bonthu Ramamohan reached Guru Nanak hospital about half-an-hour later, after learning about the death of Vaishnav from the media.
State BJP president Dr K Laxman and other leaders also rushed to the hospital at about 3 am. Bandary Dattatreya, who is a heart patient himself was informed about his son’s death only in the morning.
Mr. Bandru Dattatreya was previously a two-time Union minister. Bandaru Dattatreya, sitting MP from Secunderabad, was part of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Cabinet. Bandru Dattatreya was also the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Labour and Employment from 2014 to 1st September 2017 in the Narendra Modi government.
