Nag Ashwin opened up about his upcoming directorial venture Kalki 2989 AD. The film stars Rebel star Prabhas in the lead. BigB Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani starrer Kakli 2898 AD and is one of the highly-anticipated films of 2024. Recently Nag Ashwin shared details about the film’s making.
Nag Ashwin officially revealed the theme of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer in a latest media interaction, stating: The movie will start in the Mahabharata period and end in2898. Hence, the title ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ of this film was chosen. The story of Nag Ashwin’s magnum opus covers the events that happened over 6000 years. Kalki is also the 10th avatar of Lord Vishnu. And the reports are coming that Prabhas will be seen in the role of Lord Vishnu.
This epic storyline of Prabhas and Deepika starrer is expected to shake the Indian box office. The makers are planning to start full promotions in March, with the trailer of this film expected to be released in the first week of April month. Kalki 2989 AD is slated to hit the theatres on May 9th.
