We have already reported that Megastar Chiranjeevi will be seen playing the lead role in the Telugu remake of Malayalam film Lucifer, under the direction of Sujeeth of Saaho fame. The original Malayalam version of Lucifer was directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, in which Mohanlal played the main role. If ongoing buzz in the media and film industry are to be believed, Genelia Deshmukh D Souza will play the female lead in Chiranjeevi starrer Lucifer remake.
Genelia Deshmukh was one of the popular actresses of the Telugu film industry. Her popular movies are Bommarillu, Dhee, and Ready. In Tollywood, she was last seen in Rana starrer Naa Ishtam, which was released in the year 2012.
The reports are coming that Genelia Deshmukh D Souza has been roped in for the lead actress role in Chiranjeevi starrer upcoming movie of Lucifer remake. If everything will go accordingly, Lucifer remake will mark her comeback in Telugu film Industry. Chiranjeevi will play the role of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s role in the movie. The remake will go on the floor once Chiranjeevi’s ongoing film Acharya gets its shoot wrapped up.
